Mid-senior Full Stack Developer (Symfony / Nuxt)
About the role
You will work on a modern stack: a Symfony (PHP) backend with a Nuxt (Vue, TypeScript) frontend on PostgreSQL. The company continuously improves and expands its internal platforms and customer-facing products, and you help design, build and improve the systems behind real operational workflows. This is not a role where tickets are simply assigned to you. You take a feature from idea to production: API design, data model, frontend, tests and deployment. You plan your own work, make technical decisions and explain your trade-offs. You use AI tools to move faster, and you stay accountable for every line you ship.

What we offer
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features across the Symfony backend and Nuxt frontend
- Design REST APIs, data models and Doctrine migrations on PostgreSQL
- Build reliable integrations and data imports that handle large volumes
- Keep quality high with automated tests (PHPUnit) and clean, maintainable code
- Use AI coding tools to speed up delivery, and review their output critically
- Collaborate directly with Dutch product and business stakeholders
Requirements
- 4+ years of PHP backend development, with strong Symfony experience (Symfony 5 or newer)
- Solid experience with Doctrine ORM and database migrations
- 2+ years with Vue and Nuxt (TypeScript), including a good understanding of SSR
- Strong PostgreSQL skills: schema design, indexing and query optimisation
- Experience designing and securing REST APIs (token-based authentication)
- Comfortable with Docker and Docker Compose in daily development
- Writes automated tests as a habit, not an afterthought
- Works independently: structures own work, makes decisions and documents trade-offs
- Uses AI tools (such as Claude or Copilot) effectively and can explain and defend everything shipped
- Comfortable in existing codebases, fluent in English (B2/C1 minimum)
Nice to have
- Experience with e-commerce platforms or payment integrations
- Frontend testing experience (Vitest, Playwright)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Working model
Hybrid, 40 hours per week. You work from our office in Pristina 2 days per week and remote the rest of the week. You collaborate directly with the Dutch product team and with international colleagues, and may travel occasionally for alignment sessions.
