Mid-senior Full Stack Developer (Symfony / Nuxt)
About the role
You will work on a modern Symfony backend and Nuxt frontend on PostgreSQL, building features for a Dutch SaaS company whose product suite includes e-commerce and payment solutions. Your work covers real merchant workflows such as checkout flows, payment links, recurring payments and API integrations with payment providers. You take a feature from idea to production, including API design, data models, frontend implementation, tests and deployment. You plan your own work, make technical decisions and document your trade-offs. AI tools are part of your daily workflow, but you stay accountable for every line you ship. This role is for engineers who enjoy ownership, responsibility and long-term impact.

What we offer
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features across the Symfony backend and Nuxt frontend
- Design REST APIs, data models and Doctrine migrations on PostgreSQL
- Build reliable integrations and data imports that handle large volumes
- Work on e-commerce and payment-related features such as checkouts, payment links and recurring payments
- Keep quality high with automated tests and clean, maintainable code
- Use AI coding tools to speed up delivery, and review their output critically
- Collaborate directly with Dutch product and business stakeholders
Requirements
- 4+ years of PHP backend development, with strong Symfony experience (Symfony 5 or newer)
- Solid experience with Doctrine ORM and database migrations
- 2+ years with Vue and Nuxt (TypeScript), including a good understanding of SSR
- Strong PostgreSQL skills: schema design, indexing and query optimisation
- Experience designing and securing REST APIs (token-based authentication)
- Comfortable with Docker and Docker Compose in daily development
- Writes automated tests as a habit, not an afterthought
- Works independently and can explain and defend every line of code shipped
- Fluent in English (B2/C1 minimum)
Nice to have
- Experience with payment providers, PSP integrations or e-commerce platforms
- Frontend testing experience (Vitest, Playwright)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Working model
Hybrid, 40 hours per week. You work from our office in Pristina 2 days per week and remote the rest of the week. You collaborate directly with the Dutch product team and international colleagues, and may travel occasionally for alignment sessions.
