About the role
You work with both existing .NET Framework applications and modern .NET solutions. You build APIs and integrations that connect them to a new core platform. You find technical bottlenecks and remove obstacles that slow down its adoption. You stay close to the code and use AI tools for coding, debugging, testing and documentation. You explore faster ways to work without compromising quality. You explain your choices, share knowledge and help colleagues use new technology. In your first months, you learn the existing software landscape, deliver production-ready solutions and help the team adopt the new platform. Your work connects both systems and people.

Our client is an established Dutch technology company moving towards a new core platform. The team needs to connect existing applications and processes to this platform and help people adopt it. You work directly with an experienced Dutch technology team.

Responsibilities
- Develop and improve backend applications using C# and .NET
- Work with existing .NET Framework applications and modern .NET solutions
- Build APIs and integrations connecting existing systems to the new core platform
- Find and resolve technical bottlenecks that slow down modernization and adoption
- Work with AWS to build scalable, reliable cloud solutions
- Use AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation and development productivity
- Share knowledge with developers and stakeholders and help colleagues use new technologies
- Own solutions from analysis and architecture through implementation and delivery
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong backend focus
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Framework and modern .NET
- Experience with REST APIs, integrations, SQL databases and software architecture
- Practical experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and modern development practices
- Confident using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot
- Strong English communication skills at C1 level
- Currently based in Kosovo
- Comfortable exploring unfamiliar codebases and solving messy problems
- A proactive, practical approach: challenge assumptions, take initiative and focus on delivering value
- Able to connect technologies and people and help colleagues through change
Nice to have
- Experience with legacy modernization, complex integrations or technical migrations
Working model
Hybrid, based in Pristina, Kosovo. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with access to the tre plus office. You collaborate directly with the Dutch technology team.
